Swap mega-ships for white sails and sun-warmed teak. For nine nights you will trace the edge of Europe into North Africa, then island-hop across the Canaries. All of it on Star Flyer, a classic four-masted clipper that feels like a private yacht, with Max keeping the fun dialed in and the details smooth.
What Makes This Week Magic
⚓ Small ship, big moments. Star Flyer slides into pretty little harbors and quiet anchorages that the big boats pass by. The atmosphere is friendly, unhurried, and easy to love.
⚓ A route with real flavor. Andalusian plazas, Moroccan shoreline energy, and the volcanic landscapes of the Canaries in one smooth arc. Sunlight, sea breezes, and a new view each morning.
⚓ Hosted by Max, the pro you want. Warm, organized, and quietly on top of everything. You get community when you want it, freedom when you need it, and zero friction in between.
⚓ Sea days you will look forward to. Breezy decks, a dip in the pool, a book in the shade, and that shared grin when the crew hauls the canvas and the ship picks up speed.
⚓ The yacht feel. Teak underfoot, crisp sails above, and space to find your favorite perch at sunset. It feels personal, not crowded.
⚓ Easy rhythm, lasting memories. Swim. Stroll. Sip something cold. Watch the stars come out. Simple pleasures, done perfectly.

Highlights Along the Way
Amalfi & Sicily Tall-Ship Cruise
Gibraltar
A tiny slice of Britain with a giant view. Ride the cable car to the top of the Rock for a panorama that sweeps from Spain to Africa, then linger on the terraces to watch ships thread the strait far below. Stroll the waterfront for an easy coffee stop, keep an eye out for dolphins in the bay, and wander the lanes where Union Jacks meet Mediterranean light. As evening falls, the limestone cliffs turn gold and the harbor lights blink on, a perfect sendoff before you sail at dusk.
Tangier
Cosmopolitan and unmistakably Moroccan. The old medina winds past blue-painted doors and sunlit squares where you hear a mix of French, Arabic, and Spanish. Pause for mint tea on a shady terrace, browse little shops for ceramics and woven baskets, then step back out to the corniche and the wide curve of the bay. The skyline blends Europe and Africa in one glance, and the energy is magnetic but never overwhelming, a city that rewards slow wandering and curious tastes.
Cádiz
Sea breezes and luminous light wrap a city that feels proudly Andalusian. Walk narrow lanes that open into lively plazas, admire baroque facades, and follow the oceanfront promenades where waves glitter against honey-colored stone. Cafés spill onto corners, tapas arrive on tiny plates, and the cathedral dome glows in late-afternoon sun. Everything is close, walkable, and welcoming, with a sense of history that lives happily alongside beach-going, music, and easy conversation.
Lanzarote (Arrecife)
Volcanic bones under golden beaches give Lanzarote its otherworldly mood. In Arrecife, stroll to the old sea fortress and along the palm-lined promenade, then detour to calm lagoons where the water is glass-clear. The island palette is striking: black lava fields, whitewashed walls, and deep-blue Atlantic, all under big skies. It is relaxed and unhurried at the shore, with just enough city buzz for a seaside lunch before you slip back to the ship.
Tenerife (Santa Cruz)
A blend of city pulse and mountain drama. Santa Cruz invites you to browse boutiques and markets, wander leafy parks, and settle into a café where life idles by at a comfortable pace. Look up and the silhouette of Mount Teide anchors the horizon, reminding you that wild nature is close at hand. Even a few blocks from the port you find plazas full of music and families, and long waterfront walks that make a gentle end to a sunlit day.

About the Ship
Star Flyer is a true sailing ship with polished teak, tall masts, and a friendly crew that loves to be under canvas. Cabins are smartly designed and air-conditioned, public spaces are relaxed, and the top deck is where you will probably spend most of your time. It feels more like a private yacht than a cruise ship, which is exactly what you want in the Greek islands. (Capacity about 166 guests; four masts; classic clipper style.)
