Highlights Along the Way
Amalfi & Sicily Tall-Ship Cruise
Lipari & Stromboli
On Lipari, the biggest of the Aeolian Islands, you’ll see whitewashed houses all around a lively harbor, with ancient forts sitting up on the hilltop. This island is a cool mix of volcanic landscapes, history, and that classic Mediterranean vibe. You can wander down cobblestone streets, visit the Archaeological Museum, or just chill at a café and watch island life go by. Then, as your ship sails past Stromboli, you’ll get to see one of the world’s most active volcanoes! Watching those fiery bursts against the evening sky from the deck of your ship is a truly raw, elemental, and totally unforgettable experience.
Messina & Taormina
Messina will greet you with the clang of its cathedral’s astronomical clock and the vibrant hustle and bustle of Sicilian street life. Just beyond the port, you’ll find Taormina, a clifftop town where winding alleys lead to cool boutiques and piazzas with stunning views of Mount Etna. The ancient Greek theatre, which they still use today, frames the sea and the volcano in one epic panoramic shot. Plus, with all of Sicily’s rich flavors from cannoli to limoncello, this stop totally captures the island’s vibrant, dramatic, and delicious spirit.
Amalfi & Sorrento
Get ready to sail into a dream! In Amalfi, you’ll find pastel houses clinging to cliffs, lemon groves filling the air with their scent, and a grand cathedral staircase that totally dominates the main square. This old maritime republic is now one of Italy’s most enchanting coastal towns. Nearby, Sorrento has these amazing terraced gardens overlooking the Bay of Naples, and its streets are just begging you to try some gelato, check out handmade ceramics, and eat at family-run trattorias. Seriously, Amalfi and Sorrento together are the perfect picture of la dolce vita that sweet life by the sea.
Ponza
The Pontine Islands are one of Italy’s best-kept secrets, and Ponza is definitely the star of the show. Its crescent-shaped harbor is lined with colorful pastel buildings, fishermen bringing in their daily catch, and cafés spilling out onto the promenade. Beyond the town, you’ll discover turquoise coves, hidden grottoes, and quiet beaches that you can only get to by boat. Ponza offers that rare chance to really slow down, it’s an authentic, unpolished taste of island life where beauty just feels effortless and completely unspoiled.

About the Ship
The Star Clipper is not your average cruise vessel. She’s a true sailing ship, with four towering masts and gleaming white sails. Onboard you’ll find teak decks, cozy wood-trimmed cabins, and dining that celebrates fresh Mediterranean flavors. With fewer than 200 guests, the experience feels more like a private yacht than a cruise. You can climb the rigging, relax by the pool, or sip a cocktail at the Tropical Bar while the crew sets sail. Each evening, the ship glides silently through the water under a canopy of stars — a sailing experience you’ll never forget.
